About the Union of Film Professionals of Armenia
The Union of Film Professionals of Armenia (UFPA) is the successor of the Union of Cinematographers of Armenia, founded in 1957 in the Soviet Union. Today, the UFPA is a public association of citizens of the RA and foreign countries, stateless persons and/or legal entities (with the status of a non-commercial organization), which unites, in accordance with the law, professional filmmakers, on the basis common interests, on the principle of volunteerism, individual membership.

President
Harutyun Khachatryan is a film director, who has made more than ten documentaries. He is one of the founding-members of the National Film Academy of Armenia, a voting-member of the European Film Academy, People’s Artist of the Republic of Armenia, bearer of the State and RA presidential awards, one of the founders and CEO during 15 years of “Golden Apricot” Yerevan International Film Festival.
